What is the difference between Gel-X and acrylic?
Acrylic is sculpted by mixing powder and liquid, has a strong smell and is more rigid. Gel-X is a pre-formed gel tip that is bonded and cured under a lamp: no smell, more flexible and considerably lighter.
How long does Gel-X last?
Three to four weeks. For the first 24 hours it is best to avoid long soaks in very hot water.
Can I take it off at home?
I would not recommend it. Removal has its own technique, and doing it badly is the main cause of thinned nails.
