What nobody tells you about franchises

The promise of success against the reality nobody warns you about

«Lo que nadie te cuenta sobre las franquicias» — written and published in Spanish.

Cecilia opened 15 franchises in Buenos Aires. This is what that actually involved — the promise against the reality — written for anyone weighing up the same decision.

There was less than $500 in the safe. Five franchises closed. The phone ringing with reproaches. When exactly did it all fall apart?

What it is about

The story nobody dared to tell

This is not a technical manual. It is Cecilia's real story — unfiltered — about what it means to franchise a brand, lose control of what you built, and start again from the bottom.

Paloma Nails Boutique reached Puerto Madero, Palermo and Recoleta. The franchise model promised freedom, passive income and fast expansion. What nobody told her was what came next: franchisees who stopped paying, five locations closed overnight, legal notices, disputes, the pandemic at the worst possible moment and $500 in the safe. This book exists so you do not have to learn it the most expensive way.

  • What consultants do not tell you — the promises against what you actually find once you sign
  • How to survive a franchise crisis — pandemic, closed locations, disputes and rebuilding
  • The traps in the model — poor franchisee selection, brand erosion and hidden costs
  • Critical tools for deciding on real information — before signing any contract
  • The rebuild — from $500 in the safe to a new chapter in Miami on an O-1 visa
